Te Tairāwhiti Arts Festival

Te Tairāwhiti Arts Festival

Kia ora, kia orana, tālofa, mālō e lelei, ni sa bula vinaka, fakaalofa atu, Ia ora na.

Te Tairāwhiti Arts festival has, at its heart, the artists and audiences of Te Tairāwhiti. We celebrate, illuminate and connect the wonderful creativity of this place.

Our first ever festival was full of abundance and sat inside one of the busiest times for our region in recent years. In 2020 we’re emerging from isolation into renewed connection, and with a deeper commitment to who and where we are.

Our Festival is a space for reflection, uplift and joy. The programme is a way of extending the time you spend with the arts. It digs deeply into our local kōrero and celebrates the rich imaginations of our people.

We invite you to spend the school holidays exploring the stories of our place.
