The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra introduces a series of multi-day Festival concerts and events around the country in 2021, in addition to our popular Podium Series and Setting Up Camp tours.
The new NZSO Festivals will be performed in Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Napier, Wellington, and Christchurch, with several performances and other events by the Orchestra presented in each city over three days. Festival conductors include New Zealander Holly Mathieson and NZSO Principal Conductor in Residence Hamish McKeich.
Russian Vasily Petrenko and Israeli Asher Fisch are among the internationally renowned conductors who will lead the NZSO in 2021.
Setting Up Camp, a popular multi-day programme of daytime performances to schools and community groups and evening concerts, will tour the South Island in 2021 for the first time, along with more North Island performances.
